I DO MIND is a new film non-profit film
company set up to tackle mental health discrimination.
Because we have personally have been at the receiving end of
it. We want to speak about our experiences, to positively challenge the stigma and educate people, challenging the idea that
madness is something to be hidden and that visibility counts in order to break the stigma. Stigma is often more painful than
the psychosis. We are human beings that can be moved by love, that can laugh and cry like anyone else. It is sometimes said
that the public needs protecting; are we not the public too and shouldn’t we have the protection from the misconception
of mental health issues?
